The only exception to this deadline is for those students who are registered for both fall and summer quarter. Please see Payment & Financial Aid information for more details. - How will early registration affect those individuals receiving financial aid?
Beginning for the 2008–2009 academic year, the process for filing and receiving financial aid got a whole lot easier. If a student plans to register during the early registration period, he/she needs to make sure to complete his/her FAFSA sometime between April 15 and May 28, 2008. - What comes after early registration?
On-time registration will begin via Web Advisor on Saturday, June 28, 2008. this is like all other on-time registration periods—students can register in-person (Monday–Friday), online, or over the phone. The on-time registration period will be from June 28–August 29, 2008. Payment for on-time registrations is due by 4:30 p.m. on August 29, 2008. - When does late registration start?

Waitlisting
- Who should use the waitlisting function?
Any student is encouraged to use this function if he/she has a need or desire to be in a specific section of a course, but the section(s) meeting that need is currently closed due to reaching its capacity. - Can any student use waitlisting?
Yes! Any student is able to use this function. However, a student on academic probation can only regiser or sign up on a waiting list in person and with an academic advisor's signature. - What courses will offer the waitlisting option?
During the pilot, the waitlisting services will only be offered for English (ENG), mathematics (MAT), and developmental (DEV) courses. - How will this process affect me if I am waiting to see if course sections become available after the first payment deadline date?
Currently, we have a large number of students who wait until after the payment deadline date to see if non-paying students are de-registered from their courses, thereby opening space in the course sections. Using this waitlisting process, if students are removed from course sections for non-payment, their spots wil be filled by those people on the waitlist. - I don't intend to use waitlisting. Will this new process impact me in any way?
The only way waitlisting could affect you is if you fail to pay your bill or secure your financial aid. Using this waitlisting process, if students are removed from course sections for non-payment after the first payment deadline, their spots will automatically be filled by those people on the waiting list. This effectively means that de-regisered students will not have the opportunity to re-register for their previous sections. BE SURE TO PAY YOUR BILL! - How do I put myself on the waitlist?
You may use Web Advisor online or visit the registration counter in person to add yourself to a wait list. If you would like to be added to a waiting list at the registration counter, just fill out the registration form with the information of the closed course section. The registration staff will add you to the appropriate waiting list. - How do I remove myself from a waiting list?
You can remove yourself via Web Advisor or at the Registration counter on the second floor of Building 10. - Can I put myself on a waiting list for any course?
Sinclair is trying the waitlist function as a pilot this term—Summer 2008. For the pilot terms, the waitlist function will be available for English (ENG), mathematics (MAT) and developmental (DEV) courses only. - Can I see how many people are on the waiting list?
Yes, using Web Advisor you can see how many students are already on the waiting list before you place your name on the list. You can also monitor your progress up the list via Web Advisor. The registration staff can also provide you with this information at the registration counter. - Can I waitlist for multiple sections of the same course?
Yes, you can add your name to the waitlist of three sections of the same course. You will only be regisered for the first section that becomes available. Please note: You will be registered for the first section that becomes available and removed from other waiting lists of the same course. - I want to take a specific section of a course but my first choice is closed. Can I register for an open section and still add my name to the waitlist for this section I really want?
No, do not do this! The computer system only allows you to be registered for one section of the same course. If a student who is waitlisted in one section of a course subsequently registers in another section of the same course, the computer will automatically remove the student from the waitilst. - How am I notified if I am registered for the waitlisted course section?
All students will be notified via their my.sinclair.edu e-mail address. If you have added yourself to a waitilst we suggest that you check your my.sinclair.edu address daily for notification. - If I am automatically registered from a waitlist, when is my tuition for that course due?
All tuition follows the same payment schedule, regardless of whether you are automatically registered from a waitlist or you are able to register directly into the course. - What is the last day to sign up for a waiting list?
Students will be able to add themselves to the waiting lists through 5:00 p.m. on the Monday of the late registration period. - What is the last day I can be registered by waitlisting?
Waitlisting is turned off the Wednesday before classes start. If you have not been registered from the waiting list by Thursday morning you will need to find another section and register for it directly. - What happens to people on the waiting list after waitlisting is turned off?
Students will be notified that waitlisting is over for the term and they will not be registered for the section through this process. - I forgot that I added my name to a waitlist and I was automatically registered for the course section. What can I do?
By placing your name on the waiting list, you are agreeing that you are financially obligated to pay for that course section. If it is before the deadline to drop with a refund, you can go through the procedure to drop the course and receive a refund. If it is beyond that date, you may still withdraw from the course and receive a "W," but you are financially responsible for the course.
Students can also find out more about waitlisting and early registration by speaking with the academic advisors, located on the third floor of Building 11, or registration staff, located on the second floor of Building 10.
