Waitlisting
Have you ever found the perfect class for your schedule only to find out it's full?
Sinclair is now trying out a new waitlisting service for students!
Waitlisting is an upgrade to registration that will allow you to electronically "wait in line" for the next available seat. While on the list, if a vacancy becomes available, the next person in line will be automatically registered for the section. The students will then be notified via e-mail (at their my.sinclair.edu address) that they have been registered for the course section.
Advantages
- Waitlisting can be added online via Web Advisor or in person at the registration windows.
- Web Advisor allows students to see the waiting list and monitor activity.
- Students may add their names to the waiting list of up to three sections of the same course—and, will be automatically removed from two when one opens.
- This service eliminates the need to constantly check back for any openings.
What students can use this pilot service?
- The pilot launch will include English (ENG), mathematics (MAT), and developmental (DEV) courses.
- Those waiting to get into a closed class.
- Students on academic probation can be added to a waiting list, but this request must be done in person with an academic advisor's signature.
For more information, please take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions.
Students can also find out more about waitlisting and early registration by speaking with the academic advisors, located on the third floor of Building 11, or registration staff, located on the second floor of Building 10.
