Day 7 -Day trip to Tablelands (Gros Morne NP) and Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse
|
Residents of nearby communities find a spot of good ground along the highway and plant a garden. Most gardens have a fence with rags or scarecrows. None of the gardens have signs, but nobody bothers somebody else's garden. We saw these gardens along the most of the length of Rt. 430, about 300 miles.

A tip from a colleague in the Alaska class - ask the Gros Morne visitor center where to find this fossil trilobite. It is along Rte 430 inside the park. It is about 10 inches long. |
See the trilobite.... |

Tablelands on the left of the trail/highway. The mantle of the earth is thrust over the crust in this location. A rare place on Earth. |
