Day 5: Bodie CA and Mt. Whitney/Alabama Hills
Bodie was a booming gold mining town from 1877 to the 1930s. It is a ghost town today. The Alabama Hills at the base of Mt. Whitney is an area of unusual rock formations. It was the site of many films such as Gunga Din, films by Gene Autrey, the Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, and many others.
